5.3 Legal and Regulatory Reforms
(iv) Kerala Buildings (Lease and Rent Control) Act 1965 would be amended to stimulate investment in rental housing in line with a Model Rent Control Act, along with such modification as may be necessary, keeping in view the interests of owner (lesser) and tenant (lessee).
